Raining of Mercy

Humairaa’ menarik nafas panjang lalu menghembuskan semula udara bercampur air, karbon dioksida dan sedikit oksigen itu. Besar rahmat Allah. Hatta dalam setiap nafas itu terselit rahmat-Nya. Dia senyum, sambil memandang Aisyah.

“Suka sangat hujan.” Humairaa’ berkata sambil tangannya mencapai kopi 3 in 1 cap Mahkota Dewa panas. Matanya memandang ke luar rumah. Hujan turun dengan lebatnya. Mereka duduk di beranda rumah Aisyah, menghadap air terjun buatan tempat bermain si ikan kap. Lepak tarbawi katanya.

“Kenapa?”

“Sebab scent dia. Awesome. Give one’s heart tranquility.”

“Indeed yang turunkan hujan lah yang bagi ketenangan tu kan?”

Humairaa’ mengangguk. Setuju sangat. Kopi 3 in 1 Mahkota Dewa dah separuh dihabiskannya. Hangatnya sesuai dengan mood hujan-hujan macam ni. Tiba-tiba Aisyah bersuara lagi,

“Imagine for a moment that it’s raining. It is pouring, heavily.”

“Tak perlu imagine dah. Memang dah depan mata dah ni. Hehe.” gurau Humairaa’

“Isy budak kecik ni. Orang serius dia main-main pulak.

“Ok ok, my fault. I’m sorry.” Humairaa’ meminta maaf sambil mengelip-ngelipkan mata buat gaya innocent. Lagi innocent dari budak darjah dua.

“And imagine that there is something very different about this rain. Tak pernah tengok kat mana-mana sebelum ni. On this day, it is not raining water. Tapi something yang lebih precious dari tu.”

“Contoh?”

“Duit RM50 berkepuk-kepuk jatuh. Tak henti-henti. Sepanjang hari. Apa yang Humairaa’ akan buat?”

“Uihh, sepanjang hari sanggup bertapa tunggu duit tu. Sampai tak tidur malam pun sanggup.”

“Amboi budak ni. Memang laa, pantang tengok duit…” Aisyah mencuit pinggang Humairaa’. Humairaa’ dah buka kuda-kuda silat gayung yang dah dia belajar zaman sekolah dulu. Pantang betul dia kalau orang main poke-poke ni.

“Respons dia, kemain lagi.” Aisyah hanya tergelak.

“Tak suka la akak.”

“ok ok, lain kali akak janji akak buat lagi.”

“Akak!!!”

“Ok, sambung-sambung. Akak tak habis cerita lagi ni.”

“Ye la ye la…”

“Bayangkan pulak sesuatu yang lebih berharga dari tu Allah nak bagi, sepanjang hari, siang dan malam sepanjang satu bulan?”

“Itu lagi masyuk kak!”

“Itulah umpamanya bulan Ramadhan. Month of blessings. It’s neither thousand dollar bills, nor trillions. But it’s the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta’ala. A currency that no human currency could even measure!”

Humairaa' membesarkan mata dia yang memang kecik itu.
Nampak gaya tamak di situ.
Ramadhan kian hampir.
Seminggu lagi.

Humairaa' memasang niat nak jadi tamak.
Hee.
Rahmat Allah, nak tamak macam mana pun tak pa lah kan?
Senyum.

RAINING OF ALLAH'S MERCY DURING RAMADHAN

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said,
“Ramadan has come to you. It is a month of blessing, in which Allah covers you with blessing, for He sends down Mercy, decreases sins and answers prayers. In it, Allah looks at your competition (in good deeds), and boasts about you to His angels. So show Allah goodness from yourselves, for the unfortunate one is he who is deprived in (this month) of the mercy of Allah, the Mighty, the Exalted.”
 [Narrated by Tabarani]
In another hadith, The PropheT (p.b.u.h_ said:
“Whoever fasts during Ramadan out of sincere faith, hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all of his past sins will be forgiven.”
[Narrated by Bukhari]
“When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained.”
[Narrated by Bukhari]
And also, within this month, there is a night that is greater than a thousands month as Allah told in surah Al-qadr verse 1 - 5
1. Verily! We have sent it (this Qur'an) down in the night of Al-Qadr (Decree)
2. And what will make you know what the night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is?
3. The night of Al-Qadr (Decree) is better than a thousand months (i.e. worshipping Allah in that night is better than worshipping Him a thousand months, i.e. 83 years and 4 months).
4. Therein descend the angels and the Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] by Allah's Permission with all Decrees,
5. Peace! (All that night, there is Peace and Goodness from Allah to His believing slaves) until the appearance of dawn.

So, what greater loss can there be than to find ourselves standing in the middle of this massive downfall of blessings without collecting all we can of Allah’s mercy?
